Leszek Makowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zbyszek Smolarek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zbyszek Smolarek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leszek Makowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zbyszek Smolarek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artur Perkowski's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Szczeciński Klub Sportowy's goal looked a bit too open when Tanek Rawa came free, but Zbyszek Smolarek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Perkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszek Smolarek having to interfere. Leszek Makowski scored 2-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zbyszek Smolarek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bartosz Pyrzyce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacek Jajecznica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Zbyszek Smolarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 53 minutes, Cezary Chludzinski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szczeciński Klub Sportowy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cezary Chludzinski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The attack was good, but when Artur Perkowski in the 57th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cezary Chludzinski in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dariusz Dunajski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Artur Perkowski struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Zbyszek Smolarek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dievenow. The audience was convinced that Artur Perkowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zbyszek Smolarek was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Szczeciński Klub Sportowy's Zbyszek Smolarek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Szczeciński Klub Sportowy from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, Artur Perkowski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zbyszek Smolarek, 2-2. Leszek Makowski in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zbyszek Smolarek, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 86 minutes into the game, Piotr Osielski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Szczeciński Klub Sportowy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dievenow the free kick. After a rather tough play, Szczeciński Klub Sportowy's Piotr Osielski got a free kick in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Artur Perkowski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zbyszek Smolarek, 2-3. In the 97th minute, Feliks Basinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Szczeciński Klub Sportowy fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dievenow were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
