Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) cracovia's Michal Kempka started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roman Lato hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Norbert Dawiec, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Lato during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of cracovia booed when Smokotówka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Lato didn't get a good kick on the ball. cracovia's Olgierd Nakoneczny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartosz Oliszewski in the 23rd minute of play. After 27 minutes cracovia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bartosz Ochylski who took care of the corner kick. Boruc Jaroch came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by cracovia's Michal Kempka. But to his dismay, Michal Kempka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 32 played minutes cracovia got a freekick which was hit by Michal Kempka. 42 minutes into the match, Smokotówka's Herbert Domalik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olgierd Nakoneczny narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bartosz Oliszewski to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Smokotówka booed when cracovia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witomir Wozniak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bartosz Oliszewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Olgierd Nakoneczny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartosz Oliszewski in the 65th minute of play forced cracovia's goalkeeper Olgierd Nakoneczny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Smokotówka's Roman Lato got his second yellow card of the match in the 68th minute. The referee ordered Roman Lato off the ground. After having played for 72 minutes, Michal Kempka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. cracovia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michal Kempka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boruc Jaroch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michal Kempka in the 75th minute of the match. Michal Kempka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Boruc Jaroch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. cracovia's Olgierd Nakoneczny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Domalik in the 83rd minute of play. Witomir Bartochowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boruc Jaroch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Herbert Domalik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st match minute, Smokotówka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartosz Oliszewski to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Boruc Jaroch successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Olgierd Nakoneczny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Domalik, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The cracovia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing cracovia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
