Izydor Lizewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeusz Dobilas, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Wawrzyniec Rydz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Izydor Lizewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tadeusz Dobilas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tadeusz Dobilas made a kick off. If Tadeusz Dobilas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Barnaba Dombroski came out of the goal and Franciszek Szostak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wawrzyniec Rydz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kacper Blicharz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnaba Dombroski having to interfere. If Wawrzyniec Rydz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franciszek Szostak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Barnaba Dombroski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Atlético Madryt had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
