The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kacper Cichocki during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zielonken SSA reached it. After a rather tough play, Zielonken SSA's Kacper Cichocki got a free kick in the 26th minute. Damian Zjawin hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Karol Dres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugeniusz Dulemba went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Karol Dres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugeniusz Dulemba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florian Mietus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Karol Dres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Zagłębie CF's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Mietus came free, but Karol Dres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florian Mietus to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Eugeniusz Dulemba got a very nice opportunity to score, but Karol Dres was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Karol Dres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florian Mietus in the 54th minute. Florian Mietus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karol Dres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Bogumil Zajonc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
