Krzysztof Pluciennik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olgierd Orszak went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ulryk Czerniak came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benedykt Czeberowski could save by the left post. Olgierd Orszak struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Krzysztof Pluciennik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GKS Katowice. Pawel Cipinski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedykt Czeberowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, GKS Katowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olgierd Mosiniak to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Benedykt Czeberowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radoslaw Jarocewicz. Benedykt Czeberowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Marchewka in the 18th minute of play. Radomil Golota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Czeslaw Sokolski took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Krzysztof Pluciennik. Krzysztof Pluciennik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Strychy's Krzysztof Pluciennik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olgierd Orszak in the 26th minute of play. Radoslaw Jarocewicz didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-2 via right post in the game's 27th minute. Strychy's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! 32 minutes into the match, Leonard Modliszewski notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Strychy's Krzysztof Pluciennik. Krzysztof Pluciennik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Modliszewski during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to GKS Katowice getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Leonard Modliszewski hit a great ball. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Benedykt Czeberowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Krzysztof Pluciennik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Modliszewski in the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to Strychy getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Pawel Cipinski hit a great ball. Radomil Golota hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldemar Marchewka to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, GKS Katowice's Leonard Modliszewski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. 56 minutes into the match, Radoslaw Jarocewicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benedykt Czeberowski. GKS Katowice's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radoslaw Jarocewicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Radomil Golota managed to get in a good position for a shot. GKS Katowice's supporters rose to their feet, but Radomil Golota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krzysztof Pluciennik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Slawomir Rzegotka during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 63 played minutes Strychy got a freekick which was hit by Slawomir Rzegotka. Czeslaw Sokolski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Korneliusz Praski fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GKS Katowice's protests and gave Korneliusz Praski a yellow card for diving instead. Korneliusz Praski kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Benedykt Czeberowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radoslaw Jarocewicz in the 71st minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goal looked a bit too open when Ulryk Czerniak came free, but Benedykt Czeberowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 minutes of play, GKS Katowice's Czeslaw Sokolski made it 3-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Krzysztof Pluciennik was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benedykt Czeberowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Marchewka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Olgierd Orszak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krzysztof Pluciennik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GKS Katowice's Olgierd Orszak got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Waldemar Marchewka left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Strychy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-5. In the 85th minute, Leonard Modliszewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute of the match Tanek Glogowski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benedykt Czeberowski skillfully saved the ball. In the 89th minute of the match, Leonard Modliszewski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Krzysztof Pluciennik saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 90 played minutes Radomil Golota rounded Strychy's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-6. When the match was over GKS Katowice could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Strychy throughout the match.
