The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iwo Jaszynski kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Remigiusz Czaplicki struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Alfred Brzeszczak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Selea. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwo Jaszynski in the 29th minute of play forced FC Selea's goalkeeper Tytus Zacharzewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Remigiusz Czaplicki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Selea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigiusz Czaplicki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bartosz Borucki during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. FC Selea's Tytus Zacharzewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Banaszak in the 41st minute of play. Lothar Matthäus's late challenge caught a Kalety's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lothar Matthäus helped the player get up and apologised. Lothar Matthäus hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Kalety's Stasio Kaszubik tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maciej Karpinski was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Kalety's Tytus Zacharzewski threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maciej Karpinski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 57th minute, Tolek Mis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfred Brzeszczak was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. With a little luck, FC Selea's Tytus Zacharzewski got control of the ball when Sebastian Banaszak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tolek Mis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th match minute, Kalety was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stasio Kaszubik to maneuver through the defense. Tolek Mis struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
