Ryszard Kaczanek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Stanislaw Galaska had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Ryszard Kaczanek made a precise shot to the right of Mikolaj Pawelczyk. VFB Pawlik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. VFB Pawlik's Stanislaw Galaska got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Stanislaw Galaska had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, FC Bay Ridge's goal looked a bit too open when Stanislaw Galaska came free, but Zenon Gdowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Bay Ridge's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alfred Burufski was slow to take the kick. During this time VFB Pawlik's players had a chance to rest. Stanislaw Galaska scored 2-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zenon Gdowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of VFB Pawlik booed when FC Bay Ridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Soliwoda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grzegorz Czajka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Zenon Gdowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Bay Ridge getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Zula Bielenda hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stanislaw Galaska in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zenon Gdowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edward Soliwoda kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stanislaw Galaska to make the kick off. VFB Pawlik were furious when Tolek Matela was red carded, 61 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 60th minute, one of VFB Pawlik:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for VFB Pawlik. VFB Pawlik's Grzegorz Czajka got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edward Soliwoda kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Grzegorz Czajka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grzegorz Czajka who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Zenon Gdowski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zenon Gdowski made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Grzegorz Czajka sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the FC Bay Ridge defense, Grzegorz Czajka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zenon Gdowski. The FC Bay Ridge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zenon Gdowski should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, FC Bay Ridge could leave the field as winners, despite VFB Pawlik having more of the ball for most of the match.
