If Lech Gibowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of KS Piast Nowa Ruda booed when Poznań Power was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliks Basaik didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, KS Piast Nowa Ruda's Marian Gotfryd ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zbigniew Markowski. Zbigniew Markowski yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Krzysztof Walczak's late challenge caught a Poznań Power's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Krzysztof Walczak helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to KS Piast Nowa Ruda getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Krzysztof Walczak hit a great ball. Fabian Jajko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Byczewski having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of KS Piast Nowa Ruda:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Poznań Power:s goal. Alfred Byczewski went to the wrong direction when Grzegorz Majerowicz was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With an all-out effort, KS Piast Nowa Ruda's Zbigniew Markowski threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marian Gotfryd, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zbigniew Markowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Gotfryd in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to KS Piast Nowa Ruda getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Nico de Amorim hit a great ball. Lech Gibowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zbigniew Markowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Gotfryd, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marian Gotfryd made a kick off. Zbigniew Markowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiktor Zahemski, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Marian Gotfryd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marian Gotfryd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Zbigniew Markowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zbigniew Markowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lech Gibowski in the 64th minute of the match. Fabian Jajko kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ksawery Gotfryd in the 70th minute of play forced KS Piast Nowa Ruda's goalkeeper Alfred Byczewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zbigniew Markowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lech Gibowski in the 74th minute of the match. Zbigniew Markowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiktor Zahemski, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Lech Gibowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zbigniew Markowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Gotfryd in the 83rd minute of play. Lech Gibowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbigniew Markowski having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Marian Gotfryd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zbigniew Markowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. KS Piast Nowa Ruda walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
