The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, LegiaW's Krzysztof Gacek got a free kick in the 4th minute. Wasyl Balkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrzej Bielejewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 7th match minute, LegiaW was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartosz Bronkala to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ksawery Huk in the 9th minute of play forced LegiaW's goalkeeper Wasyl Balkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Andrzej Bielejewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wasyl Balkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Andrzej Bielejewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wasyl Balkiewicz was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. The referee ignored LegiaW's protests and gave Jerzy Chwalkiewicz a yellow card for diving instead. Jerzy Chwalkiewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in LegiaW's zone, Ksawery Huk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wasyl Balkiewicz came out of the goal and Ksawery Huk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Wasyl Balkiewicz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrzej Bielejewski went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Andrzej Bielejewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind LegiaW's goalkeeper Wasyl Balkiewicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wasyl Balkiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute Juliusz Okopny suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wawrzyniec Rybak during the 81st minute. After 83 minutes, Andrzej Bielejewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bürgerwalde and the LegiaW players grew even worse after the yellow card. Andrzej Bielejewski was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Tanek Basaik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Peczkowski in the 93rd minute of the match. When the match was over Bürgerwalde could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than LegiaW throughout the match.
