The supporters of Mechtal SA booed when Ziembice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbyszek Borkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Mieszko Raszkiewicz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mechtal SA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Olgierd Gaszynski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mieszko Raszkiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The tension between the Mechtal SA and the Ziembice players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wawrzyniec Juchno scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olgierd Gaszynski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mieszko Raszkiewicz in the 41st minute of play forced Ziembice's goalkeeper Olgierd Gaszynski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zbyszek Borkowski during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mieszko Raszkiewicz to make the kick off.
