In the 17th minute of the match, Cyprian Pahucki got a very nice opportunity to score, but Konstanty Drebit was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 23 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Cyprian Pahucki. Damazy Piczak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Boruc Jaktorowo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leon Kazanowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damazy Piczak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Grzegorz Lech read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Zbigniew Misiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Wlodzimierz Brzonkala hit a great ball. Dobrocinek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damazy Piczak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Zbigniew Misiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dobrocinek's supporters rose to their feet, but Zbigniew Misiewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grzegorz Lech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
