The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wiktor Karbowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bogumil Jaruzelski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukasz Andrzejewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Kojoty's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Karanewski came free, but Bogumil Jaruzelski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Przemyslaw Wincek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maciej Burdalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a little luck, Kojoty's Bogumil Jaruzelski got control of the ball when Ludomil Maruda tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in MKP Zgierz's zone, Maciej Burdalski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Przemyslaw Wincek came out of the goal and Maciej Burdalski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to MKP Zgierz getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Damian Jaraczewski hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Lucjan Dziewedik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MKP Zgierz's Przemyslaw Wincek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateusz Klawke in the 27th minute of play. Przemyslaw Wincek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maciej Burdalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The MKP Zgierz fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when MKP Zgierz's Emil Karanewski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 61st minute of the match Dominik Danisiewicz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Przemyslaw Wincek showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Maciej Burdalski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ludomil Maruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ludomil Maruda came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the MKP Zgierz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludomil Maruda couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute Emil Karanewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogumil Jaruzelski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Maciej Burdalski made a precise shot to the right of Przemyslaw Wincek. MKP Zgierz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Bogumil Jaruzelski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Karanewski in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Ludomil Maruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. MKP Zgierz's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludomil Maruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogumil Jaruzelski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the game, MKP Zgierz's Ludomil Maruda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bogumil Jaruzelski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. MKP Zgierz walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
