ŁKS Łagów's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liebenau the free kick. After 5 played minutes Liebenau got a freekick which was hit by Klement Wyrostek. After a defensive mix-up in ŁKS Łagów's zone, Izydor Koprowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zachariasz Dulemba came out of the goal and Izydor Koprowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 minutes, Sylwester Kloczko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ŁKS Łagów and the Liebenau players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, Sylwester Kloczko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ŁKS Łagów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klement Wawro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
