The Ostropa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zbyszek Kisiel should have stopped the shot. When Zdzislaw Tuliszewski fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ostropa's protests and gave Zdzislaw Tuliszewski a yellow card for diving instead. Zdzislaw Tuliszewski hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th match minute, Ostropa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kacper Wyrostek to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurand Lamczyk in the 48th minute of play forced Kosarzew's goalkeeper Zula Czerwinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Kosarzew's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
