The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Witalis Redisz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 6th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tadeusz Borucki. When Szczepan Lanczak got free in front of the goal in the 9th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ludomir Miazga was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Szczepan Lanczak struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ludomir Miazga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.K.S. Śrem. Jerzy Ziombkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Szczepan Lanczak notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Wróble's Ludomir Miazga. Ludomir Miazga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Wróble's goalkeeper Ludomir Miazga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34th minute Emil Tworek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomir Miazga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Tworek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerzy Ziombkowski got free with Witalis Redisz in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ludomir Miazga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobiasz Budrewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute, Emil Tworek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emil Tworek to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Piotr Maruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wróble's supporters rose to their feet, but Piotr Maruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Witalis Redisz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Śrem's Szczepan Lanczak got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Ludomir Miazga managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when A.K.S. Śrem's Szczepan Lanczak fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Szczepan Lanczak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th match minute, A.K.S. Śrem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Jenkot to maneuver through the defense. Tobiasz Budrewicz's late challenge caught a Wróble's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobiasz Budrewicz helped the player get up and apologised. Tobiasz Budrewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wróble fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty!
