Ryszard Bielatowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marek Swoboda in the 9th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marek Swoboda in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ryszard Bielatowicz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the game, Zbyszko Tarka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soplicowo SA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Polonia Piotrków the free kick. A collision led to Soplicowo SA getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Zbyszko Tarka hit a great ball. In the 15th minute of the match Zygmunt Jucha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wiktor Poling skillfully saved the ball. Marek Swoboda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryszard Bielatowicz having to interfere. Soplicowo SA's Wiktor Poling proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Soplicowo SA from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, Polonia Piotrków's goal looked a bit too open when Wincent Lukasik came free, but Ryszard Bielatowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Przemyslaw Falkiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Wiktor Poling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Przemyslaw Falkiewicz got free with Wiktor Poling in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marek Swoboda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Przemyslaw Falkiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Wincent Lukasik notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Polonia Piotrków's Ryszard Bielatowicz. Ryszard Bielatowicz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Soplicowo SA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilbert Brak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wincent Lukasik scored 0-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ryszard Bielatowicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Marek Swoboda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soplicowo SA's supporters rose to their feet, but Marek Swoboda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ryszard Bielatowicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Polonia Piotrków's Ryszard Bielatowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marek Swoboda in the 60th minute of play. In the 62ndth minute of the game Marek Swoboda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Polonia Piotrków's Ryszard Bielatowicz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Polonia Piotrków getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Zygmunt Jucha hit a great ball. After taking down the ball on Polonia Piotrków's corner Zygmunt Jucha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wiktor Poling quite easily take care of the ball. Gilbert Brak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Polonia Piotrków's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wincent Lukasik fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Wiktor Poling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Brak in the 91st minute of the match. Ryszard Bielatowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marek Swoboda in the 96th minute of play. The Soplicowo SA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Soplicowo SA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
