Witold Rostow took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcin Degutis. Goldies's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Niedziela in the 13th minute of play forced Popki's goalkeeper Witalis Ciszewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Wieslaw Brak fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Popki's protests and gave Wieslaw Brak a yellow card for diving instead. Wieslaw Brak kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ziemowit Cwenar in the 17th minute of play forced Goldies's goalkeeper Marcin Degutis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th match minute, Goldies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Lichorobiec to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes Popki got a freekick which was hit by Boruc Drzewucki. In the 26th minute Ziemowit Cwenar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcin Degutis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Popki's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Niedziela came free, but Witalis Ciszewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Goldies's Adam Niedziela nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Witalis Ciszewski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 34 minutes, Boruc Drzewucki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Popki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boruc Drzewucki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Popki's Ziemowit Cwenar got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Popki's Boruc Drzewucki got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ziemowit Cwenar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Marcin Degutis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Goldies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konstanty Piechna to maneuver through the defense. Boruc Drzewucki succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 43rd playminute. A hard shot by Witold Rostow from long distance, 47 minutes into the match, got Marcin Degutis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adam Niedziela was the one to do the kick off. Boruc Drzewucki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Marcin Degutis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Norbert Laba had to leave the field with a concussion. Marcin Degutis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boruc Drzewucki in the 70th minute of play. After 72 minutes, Kacper Okraszewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goldies and the Popki players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Goldies fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! Jaroslaw Zdanowicz walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The audience was convinced that Boruc Drzewucki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcin Degutis was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Goldies's Marcin Degutis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ziemowit Cwenar in the 81st minute of play. Marcin Degutis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boruc Drzewucki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ziemowit Cwenar struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Marcin Degutis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Popki. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Goldies's goalkeeper Marcin Degutis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Radowit Skrzypiec during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Radowit Skrzypiec hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Popki players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
