Aleksander Gajewski's late challenge caught a Rozborg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stasio Czaplicki in the 13th minute of play forced Lech Poznań's goalkeeper Tytus Cupial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stasio Czaplicki scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tytus Cupial, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustaw Budzynski kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Tytus Cupial made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kacper Smuskiewicz in the 22nd minute of play. Kacper Smuskiewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tytus Cupial having to interfere. A collision led to Lech Poznań getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Gustaw Budzynski hit a great ball. Stasio Czaplicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kacper Smuskiewicz in the 38th minute of play forced Lech Poznań's goalkeeper Tytus Cupial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tytus Cupial showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kacper Smuskiewicz in the 43rd minute of the match. Tytus Cupial stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stasio Czaplicki's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zenon Patrylo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Niedzwiecki kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Zygmunt Szel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tytus Cupial. Lech Poznań's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lech Poznań's zone, Stasio Czaplicki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tytus Cupial came out of the goal and Stasio Czaplicki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tytus Cupial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stasio Czaplicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When Rozborg's Stasio Czaplicki in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lech Poznań's goalie prevented a goal. Stasio Czaplicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tytus Cupial having to interfere. If Kacper Smuskiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcin Misiorowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcin Misiorowski scored 1-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucjan Paciuszko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stasio Czaplicki might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tytus Cupial. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kacper Smuskiewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Tytus Cupial made a huge save. The supporters of Rozborg booed when Lech Poznań was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Napierkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kacper Smuskiewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tytus Cupial having to interfere. Stasio Czaplicki might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tytus Cupial. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stasio Czaplicki ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 97th minute, Zenon Patrylo made a precise shot to the right of Lucjan Paciuszko. Rozborg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The Lech Poznań players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
