The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Milosz Pliszka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Janusz Pstrongowski. Wicie's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Milosz Pliszka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jedrzej Sawicki during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Jedrzej Sawicki. Janusz Pstrongowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zbyszek Lenertej's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Zbyszek Lenertej succeeded in the game's 21st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Jedrzej Sawicki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Janusz Pstrongowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Wicie's Antoni Rydzewski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iwan Trzenzalski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 30 minutes, Jedrzej Sawicki made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Wicie's Janusz Pstrongowski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jedrzej Sawicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janusz Pstrongowski having to interfere. Zbyszek Lenertej sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Janusz Pstrongowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jedrzej Sawicki in the 45th minute of play. Wicie's Antoni Rydzewski got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zbyszek Lenertej was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Witalis Banaszak during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Wicie defense, Jedrzej Sawicki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Janusz Pstrongowski. The Wicie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Janusz Pstrongowski should have stopped the shot. Manchester United's Zbyszek Lenertej got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zbyszek Lenertej sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jedrzej Sawicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janusz Pstrongowski having to interfere. Zbyszek Lenertej's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Janusz Pstrongowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Sylwester Ptaszek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Zbyszek Lenertej managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Zbyszek Lenertej was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Janusz Pstrongowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbyszek Lenertej in the 86th minute of play forced Wicie's goalkeeper Janusz Pstrongowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 87 in the game by Jedrzej Sawicki from a close distance when the talented Janusz Pstrongowski managed to make a qualified save. Wicie's players were relieved. In the 88th minute Zbyszek Lenertej shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janusz Pstrongowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jedrzej Sawicki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manchester United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
