Aleksander Gniewek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomasz Malicki in the 5th minute of play forced Króle's goalkeeper Aleksander Gniewek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Robert Juchno came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the KS Śląsk Katowice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Juchno couldn't finish the play. Wieslaw Chodzinski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Slawomir Burdzel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Króle's supporters rose to their feet, but Slawomir Burdzel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wieslaw Chodzinski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wieslaw Chodzinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Slawomir Burdzel in the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of Króle booed when KS Śląsk Katowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogumil Borkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wieslaw Chodzinski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Króle were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
