Wasyl Trojanowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Przemyslaw Osowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Ignacy Kopacz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lechia Gdańsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacy Kopacz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Siekierski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to RKS Raków Częstochowa getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Radomir Borkowski hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Lechia Gdańsk's Norbert Puch tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 17 minutes of play, Lechia Gdańsk's Ignacy Kopacz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leon Siekierski was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute, Sebastian Spychalski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leon Siekierski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacy Kopacz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes, Ignacy Kopacz made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. RKS Raków Częstochowa's Leon Siekierski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th match minute, Lechia Gdańsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Puch to maneuver through the defense. When Lechia Gdańsk's Ignacy Kopacz in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RKS Raków Częstochowa's goalie prevented a goal. Leon Siekierski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Spychalski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Przemyslaw Osowski struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jurand Bartochowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RKS Raków Częstochowa. 39 minutes into the match, Wasyl Trojanowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jurand Bartochowski. Lechia Gdańsk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wasyl Trojanowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

The wind increased when Przemyslaw Osowski made the kick off in the second half. If Wasyl Trojanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, RKS Raków Częstochowa's Leon Siekierski got control of the ball when Ignacy Kopacz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leon Siekierski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Spychalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Ignacy Kopacz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Leon Siekierski made a huge save. Jurand Bartochowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Przemyslaw Osowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Leon Siekierski managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Lechia Gdańsk's Ignacy Kopacz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Radomir Borkowski hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Lechia Gdańsk supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lechia Gdańsk would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
