The Spójnia Zielona Góra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marek Kaznocha should have stopped the shot. After 55 minutes Spójnia Zielona Góra's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lech Czeszyk who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Bendyk in the 57th minute of play forced Spójnia Zielona Góra's goalkeeper Marek Kaznocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Janusz Chojnacki fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spójnia Zielona Góra's protests and gave Janusz Chojnacki a yellow card for diving instead. Marek Kaznocha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0.
