Wieslaw Domaradzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Podwolina getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Leonard Smolak hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Marian Cuber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kownalka's supporters rose to their feet, but Marian Cuber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Kochanowicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, Janusz Zalipski made a precise shot to the right of Jan Kochanowicz. Podwolina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 22nd minute of the match Walery Iwaszko sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tanek Mazurkiewicz skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Witalis Gaszynski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tanek Mazurkiewicz was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Jan Kochanowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damazy Kapinos, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stasio Moczkiewicz was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Marian Cuber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Podwolina's zone, Damazy Kapinos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Kochanowicz came out of the goal and Damazy Kapinos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Janusz Zalipski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Kochanowicz having to interfere. Stasio Moczkiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Wladyslaw Okropny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Kochanowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Janusz Zalipski in the 90th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Podwolina got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Smolak. Jan Kochanowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janusz Zalipski in the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute Stasio Moczkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Mazurkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Podwolina's goalkeeper Jan Kochanowicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marian Cuber. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kownalka had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
