Jurand Miodek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Lerych having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Tobiasz Maziarski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute, Ludomil Burdzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The nice shot from Aleksander Ikalewicz in the 25thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Rafal Kasiewski had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 25 minutes into the game, Aleksander Ikalewicz lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Rafal Kasiewski. The crowd rose to their feet as Iskra Opole's Kazimierz Malik slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafal Kasiewski. That made the score 2-1 after 32 minutes of play. The supporters of Kometa Krzelów booed when Iskra Opole was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaw Czeberowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roland Lerych showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurand Miodek, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Iskra Opole's goal looked a bit too open when Tobiasz Maziarski came free, but Roland Lerych reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Iskra Opole's goal looked a bit too open when Ludomil Burdzel came free, but Roland Lerych reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Kometa Krzelów's Tobiasz Maziarski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kometa Krzelów's Witomir Cwynar got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 93 minutes, Ludomir Fabiszak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iskra Opole's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludomir Fabiszak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
