But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominik Kornatowski couldn't finish the play. Miroslaw Misiorowski struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Waldemar Zachemski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerkiewnik. Miroslaw Misiorowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waldemar Zachemski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Stasio Ziemba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldemar Zachemski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miromir Gaszynski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Dominik Kornatowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franciszek Rybak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Cerkiewnik's Miromir Gaszynski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waldemar Zachemski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dominik Kornatowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franciszek Rybak having to interfere. If Waldemar Mruk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Franciszek Rybak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Mruk, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miromir Gaszynski in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waldemar Zachemski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Konstanty Siembab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldemar Zachemski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miromir Gaszynski in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miromir Gaszynski made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Miromir Gaszynski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Zachemski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Konstanty Siembab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Zapieka's goal looked a bit too open when Miromir Gaszynski came free, but Waldemar Zachemski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldemar Zachemski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslaw Misiorowski in the 57th minute of the match. Waldemar Mruk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 minutes, Teofil Hajder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zapieka and the Cerkiewnik players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Zapieka:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cerkiewnik:s goal. In the 77th minute, Waldemar Mruk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Dominik Kornatowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zapieka's supporters rose to their feet, but Dominik Kornatowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franciszek Rybak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zapieka's Waldemar Zachemski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslaw Misiorowski in the 100th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Zapieka players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cerkiewnik.
