Zagon's Olaf Hejza managed to work through Adamsguth's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Olaf Hejza dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Hejza in the 17th minute of play forced Adamsguth's goalkeeper Zbigniew Czerniejewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zbigniew Czerniejewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zygmunt Jestrimski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adamsguth's Zbigniew Czerniejewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olaf Hejza in the 22nd minute of play. Zbigniew Czerniejewski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zygmunt Jestrimski's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Adamsguth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartlomiej Radzyminski to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Zagon's Olgierd Sliwinski got control of the ball when Beniamin Misiorowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zygmunt Jestrimski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Zygmunt Jestrimski came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Zagon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zygmunt Jestrimski couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Zygmunt Jestrimski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zagon's supporters rose to their feet, but Zygmunt Jestrimski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zbigniew Czerniejewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After a defensive mix-up in Adamsguth's zone, Zygmunt Jestrimski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zbigniew Czerniejewski came out of the goal and Zygmunt Jestrimski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute Bartlomiej Radzyminski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olgierd Sliwinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olaf Hejza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Zbigniew Czerniejewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Zygmunt Jestrimski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
