Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arkadiusz Furgat kicked off to start the match. Arkadiusz Furgat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 12 minutes, Arkadiusz Mikulski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sierza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arkadiusz Mikulski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walery Szkarpiak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kazimierz Radziszewski's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Sierza's Arkadiusz Mikulski was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 17th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 20th minute of the match, Kazimierz Radziszewski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Walery Szkarpiak saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Górnik Zabrze's Walery Szkarpiak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kazimierz Radziszewski in the 21st minute of play. Korneliusz Fleszar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Górnik Zabrze getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Zachariasz Januszewski hit a great ball. Arkadiusz Mikulski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Walery Szkarpiak when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Arkadiusz Mikulski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sierza's supporters rose to their feet, but Arkadiusz Mikulski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walery Szkarpiak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Roch Raszek fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Górnik Zabrze's protests and gave Roch Raszek a yellow card for diving instead. Roch Raszek kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Remigiusz Gamza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arkadiusz Mikulski struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Walery Szkarpiak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sierza. 41 minutes into the match, Sierza's goal looked a bit too open when Korneliusz Fleszar came free, but Roman Ziemba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Walery Szkarpiak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arkadiusz Mikulski in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kazimierz Radziszewski in the 54th minute of play forced Górnik Zabrze's goalkeeper Walery Szkarpiak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remigiusz Gamza during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Remigiusz Gamza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walery Szkarpiak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kazimierz Radziszewski in the 56th minute of play. Górnik Zabrze's Walery Szkarpiak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kazimierz Radziszewski in the 58th minute of play. Arkadiusz Mikulski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walery Szkarpiak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kazimierz Radziszewski in the 66th minute of the match. When Arkadiusz Mikulski came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Sierza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arkadiusz Mikulski couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Sierza getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Slawomir Piczak hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Sierza defense, Arkadiusz Furgat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roman Ziemba. The Sierza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Ziemba should have stopped the shot. When Kazimierz Radziszewski came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Sierza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kazimierz Radziszewski couldn't finish the play. Sierza's Kazimierz Radziszewski got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Korneliusz Fleszar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Ziemba having to interfere. Arkadiusz Mikulski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arkadiusz Mikulski in the 86th minute of play forced Górnik Zabrze's goalkeeper Walery Szkarpiak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Konrad Rzentkowski made a precise shot to the right of Walery Szkarpiak. Górnik Zabrze's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. If Arkadiusz Mikulski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Górnik Zabrze's zone, Kazimierz Radziszewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walery Szkarpiak came out of the goal and Kazimierz Radziszewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arkadiusz Mikulski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Walery Szkarpiak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
