The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Jaroslaw Cytrynski advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-3 in the 64th minute. When Tadeusz Chmielecki came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Gorlice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeusz Chmielecki couldn't finish the play. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gorlice would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
