After 8 played minutes, Juventude Płock's Boruc Hyska shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zula Skikiewicz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Juventude Płock reached it. Roman Rostow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Julian Jaworski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zula Skikiewicz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When Roman Rostow came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Juventude Płock fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Rostow couldn't finish the play. Zenon Liermann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teofil Wierzchowski went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Zenon Liermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wieslaw Czaplicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After having played for 84 minutes, Wieslaw Czaplicki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blekitni Modlnica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wieslaw Czaplicki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wieslaw Czaplicki in the 86th minute of play forced Juventude Płock's goalkeeper Zenon Liermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Blekitni Modlnica's Zenon Liermann threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wieslaw Czaplicki, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Teofil Wierzchowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Zenon Liermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
