In the 24th match minute, Ewunin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boguslaw Czajkowski to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 30 in the game by Wladyslaw Kornatowski from a close distance when the talented Wincent Skorny managed to make a qualified save. Ewunin's players were relieved. Konrad Poteralski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fryderyk Gendolla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wladyslaw Kornatowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Wincent Skorny made a huge save. The supporters of Milanello booed when Ewunin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Kaczanka didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ewunin's goalkeeper Wincent Skorny, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Wladyslaw Kornatowski in the 80th minute of play forced Ewunin's goalkeeper Wincent Skorny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Wladyslaw Kornatowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
