In the 17th minute Jaroslaw Liermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lech Bubczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 played minutes Skiby got a freekick which was hit by Eugeniusz Chojnacki. Skiby's Tomasz Burdzel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boguslaw Zakrzewski in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute Cyryl Cetnar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lech Bubczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaroslaw Liermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lech Bubczyk having to interfere. In the 38thth minute of the game Boguslaw Zakrzewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Skiby's Tomasz Burdzel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cyryl Cetnar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maciej Parajewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
