In the 19thth minute of the game Cyryl Cetnar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Stars From Silesia's Izydor Lanczak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute Cyryl Cetnar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Izydor Lanczak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomasz Burdzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zygmunt Murdza in the 32nd minute of play. Zygmunt Murdza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomasz Burdzel having to make a save. Korneliusz Lukasik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Tomasz Burdzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Eugeniusz Chojnacki fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skiby's protests and gave Eugeniusz Chojnacki a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Zygmunt Murdza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Stars From Silesia's supporters rose to their feet, but Zygmunt Murdza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomasz Burdzel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaroslaw Liermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Skiby's Tomasz Burdzel got control of the ball when Michal Dylla tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zygmunt Murdza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomasz Burdzel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zygmunt Murdza's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Jaroslaw Liermann might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Izydor Lanczak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaroslaw Liermann ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th minute, Cyryl Cetnar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernard Rydz hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Red Stars From Silesia's Alfred Zieba tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Bernard Rydz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the game, Red Stars From Silesia's Korneliusz Lukasik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomasz Burdzel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 73rd minute, Eugeniusz Chojnacki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Skiby getting a freekick after 83 minutes play.
