The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Międzybrodzie FC booed when Podbeskidzie Bielsko was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Izydor Karbowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pankracy Kisiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dobromir Cielencki in the 18th minute of the match. Mariusz Gmoch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Pankracy Kisiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roch Cizeski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zbyszek Piatek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arkadiusz Kajfasz in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roch Cizeski to make the kick off. Mariusz Gmoch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Kisiel having to interfere. Roch Cizeski struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Pankracy Kisiel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Międzybrodzie FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arkadiusz Kajfasz got free with Zbyszek Piatek in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute, Hieronim Hejza had to leave the field with a concussion. When Marek Majorski fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Międzybrodzie FC's protests and gave Marek Majorski a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Międzybrodzie FC's Marek Majorski got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Arkadiusz Kajfasz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Międzybrodzie FC's zone, Arkadiusz Kajfasz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zbyszek Piatek came out of the goal and Arkadiusz Kajfasz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd match minute, Międzybrodzie FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marek Majorski to maneuver through the defense. Międzybrodzie FC's Zbyszek Piatek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Przemyslaw Wawro in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Roch Cizeski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Międzybrodzie FC's Zbyszek Piatek got control of the ball when Arkadiusz Kajfasz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roch Cizeski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Pankracy Kisiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Roch Cizeski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Międzybrodzie FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roch Cizeski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roch Cizeski in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pankracy Kisiel prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
