A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tolek Gendolla in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zbyszek Piatek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Witomir Lipinski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borsigwerke's supporters rose to their feet, but Witomir Lipinski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zbyszek Piatek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 27 minutes of play, Międzybrodzie FC's Mariusz Gmoch made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artur Juroszek was left in no man's land by his defense there! 35 minutes into the game, Borsigwerke's Tolek Gendolla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zbyszek Piatek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 39 minutes, Zbyszek Michalski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Międzybrodzie FC and the Borsigwerke players grew even worse after the yellow card.
