Olaf Mierzwa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jedrzej Ligas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The audience was convinced that Jurand Pietrowiak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olaf Mierzwa was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. After 26 minutes of play, Zamczysko's Jedrzej Ligas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olaf Mierzwa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Tomasz Mudry's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ryszard Bartoszek was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. The referee ignored KRÓLEWSCY GLIWICE's protests and gave Leszek Brodzki a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Leszek Brodzki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maksymilian Jarek, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Olaf Mierzwa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jedrzej Ligas in the 41st minute of play. Jedrzej Ligas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, KRÓLEWSCY GLIWICE's goal looked a bit too open when Jurand Pietrowiak came free, but Olaf Mierzwa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jurand Pietrowiak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomasz Mudry stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jurand Pietrowiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olaf Mierzwa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jurand Pietrowiak in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jedrzej Ligas in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olaf Mierzwa saved KRÓLEWSCY GLIWICE from getting behind. Jurand Pietrowiak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafal Brodzki hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jurand Pietrowiak got free with Olaf Mierzwa in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomasz Mudry might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ryszard Bartoszek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomasz Mudry ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Zamczysko getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Tytus Czaplicki hit a great ball. If Jurand Pietrowiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
