An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Sierocki in the 13th minute of play forced Urbanie's goalkeeper Wincenty Czerwinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Wincent Tyski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urbanie's supporters rose to their feet, but Wincent Tyski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wawrzyniec Pinczewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 20 minutes, Napoleon Siwy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wincent Tyski got free with Wawrzyniec Pinczewski in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Wincent Tyski came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Urbanie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wincent Tyski couldn't finish the play. Wladyslaw Pilarczyk struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Wawrzyniec Pinczewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urbanie. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
