The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Fortuna Dussel ™ booed when Śląsk Cieszyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antoni Leper didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dariusz Wierzbicki in the 4th minute of play forced Śląsk Cieszyn's goalkeeper Andrzej Pruss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Śląsk Cieszyn's Andrzej Pruss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnaba Solibieda in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the game, Dariusz Wierzbicki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Andrzej Pruss was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11th match minute, Fortuna Dussel ™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milosz Lampe to maneuver through the defense. Andrzej Pruss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnaba Solibieda in the 16th minute of play. Izydor Nocny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 minutes, Dobromir Pinczewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fortuna Dussel ™ and the Śląsk Cieszyn players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Barnaba Solibieda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barnaba Solibieda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Andrzej Pruss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrzej Pruss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaba Solibieda in the 39th minute of the match. When Barnaba Solibieda came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Fortuna Dussel ™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barnaba Solibieda couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the match, Śląsk Cieszyn's Tadeusz Pietrowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damazy Komornicki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tadeusz Pietrowski to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 72nd match minute, Śląsk Cieszyn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Dobrzechowski to maneuver through the defense. Barnaba Solibieda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrzej Pruss read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Dariusz Wierzbicki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Andrzej Pruss successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 78th minute, Izydor Nocny got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damazy Komornicki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeusz Pietrowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute.
