The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Kajetan Faron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iwo Cebula was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Janusz Jaszynski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jurand Dropinski in the 10th minute. Iwo Cebula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janusz Urban, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Schwarzhütte SSA's Iwo Cebula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kajetan Faron in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janusz Urban in the 23rd minute of play forced Schwarzhütte SSA's goalkeeper Iwo Cebula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Janusz Jaszynski made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Bernard Tscherner sent off a good shot on target. Bernard Tscherner was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Schwarzhütte SSA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Janusz Jaszynski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wlodzimierz Brytka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Janusz Urban scored 1-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iwo Cebula, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lutogniew's Janusz Jaszynski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Lutogniew from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wlodzimierz Brytka was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Wlodzimierz Brytka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stasio Moryl hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wlodzimierz Brytka in the 58th minute of play forced Lutogniew's goalkeeper Janusz Jaszynski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Janusz Urban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernard Tscherner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janusz Jaszynski having to interfere. If Wlodzimierz Brytka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jurand Mochowak hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Bernard Tscherner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Janusz Jaszynski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jurand Mochowak fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lutogniew's protests and gave Jurand Mochowak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th match minute, Lutogniew was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jurand Mochowak to maneuver through the defense. Janusz Urban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwo Cebula having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Wlodzimierz Brytka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Janusz Jaszynski was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. If Wlodzimierz Brytka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lutogniew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Janusz Urban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Miromir Perkowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Schwarzhütte SSA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lutogniew the free kick. The supporters of Lutogniew booed when Schwarzhütte SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miromir Perkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Kajetan Faron took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Iwo Cebula to make any attempt to save it. The Lutogniew players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
