Zdzislaw Kostka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Friderich Mierzejewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zdzislaw Kostka read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Krzówka's Hans Pieritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Lepucki in the 30th minute of play. Roch Kapera took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hans Pieritz. Krzówka's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Krzówka getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. When Nawoj Maziarz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. The supporters of Rybieniec SA booed when Krzówka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nawoj Maziarz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rybieniec SA's Filip Lepucki got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Edward Ratulowski came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Rybieniec SA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Ratulowski couldn't finish the play. Zdzislaw Kostka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Friderich Mierzejewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
