After having played for 5 minutes, Robert Ludwa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grondy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Ludwa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Gaik booed when Grondy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leszek Ostrowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute of the match Edmund Matuch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fryderyk Basinski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 12 minutes, Radomir Petrasz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grondy and the Gaik players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gaik booed when Grondy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radomir Petrasz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Grondy's Jurand Zdrojowy got a free kick in the 14th minute. Zbyszko Maruda got in the 17th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Fryderyk Basinski handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. With a little luck, Gaik's Teofil Juchno got control of the ball when Robert Ludwa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olgierd Ramzinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Teofil Juchno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teofil Juchno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Ludwa in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the game, Tobiasz Latocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gaik's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grondy the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Gaik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobiasz Latocha to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Piotr Gleba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Gaik's goalkeeper Teofil Juchno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Teofil Juchno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robert Ludwa in the 42nd minute. Robert Ludwa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Teofil Juchno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robert Ludwa in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Teofil Juchno, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When Grondy's Robert Ludwa in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gaik's goalie prevented a goal. Olgierd Ramzinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iwan Pawelczyk kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Olgierd Ramzinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. The Gaik fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zbyszko Maruda in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fryderyk Basinski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 78 minutes into the game, Jurand Zdrojowy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grondy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaik the free kick. Radomir Petrasz was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 82 played minutes Grondy got a freekick which was hit by Radomir Petrasz. In the 85th minute Robert Ludwa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofil Juchno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Grondy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olgierd Ramzinski to maneuver through the defense. 99 minutes into the game, Piotr Gleba recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fryderyk Basinski. Piotr Gleba showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2.
