The goalkeeper, Leszek Dziura, was totally fooled by Cierznie SSA's Iwan Kuszczak, who 20 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Radomil Raschke was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. Cierznie SSA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cierznie SSA's goalkeeper Witomir Solarek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cierznie SSA's zone, Zdzislaw Pleban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Witomir Solarek came out of the goal and Zdzislaw Pleban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zdzislaw Pleban might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Witomir Solarek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zdzislaw Pleban ran back to his position shaking his head. Radomil Raschke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leszek Dziura having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cierznie SSA had won after a very even match.
