The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Palczewo got a freekick which was hit by Adam Banach. 6 minutes into the match, Palczewo's goalkeeper Roland Zbydniowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damazy Pankiewicz. Witomir Praski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Roland Zbydniowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Witomir Praski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Zbydniowski having to interfere. Mariusz Adamowicz struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Dominik Wydrych didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palczewo. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mierzeszyn's goalkeeper Dominik Wydrych, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dominik Wydrych stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tolek Soliwoda's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tolek Soliwoda in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dominik Wydrych saved Mierzeszyn from getting behind. Palczewo's Roland Zbydniowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witomir Praski in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Mierzeszyn's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Banach came free, but Dominik Wydrych reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Tolek Soliwoda notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mierzeszyn's Dominik Wydrych. Dominik Wydrych was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tolek Soliwoda in the 32nd minute of play forced Mierzeszyn's goalkeeper Dominik Wydrych to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tolek Soliwoda struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Dominik Wydrych didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palczewo. Damazy Pankiewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roland Zbydniowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. With a little luck, Palczewo's Roland Zbydniowski got control of the ball when Damazy Pankiewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Damazy Pankiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mierzeszyn's supporters rose to their feet, but Damazy Pankiewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Zbydniowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tolek Soliwoda was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Palczewo's zone, Damazy Pankiewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Zbydniowski came out of the goal and Damazy Pankiewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd minute Tolek Soliwoda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominik Wydrych saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Zbydniowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damazy Pankiewicz in the 59th minute of play. Mierzeszyn's Dominik Wydrych proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Mierzeszyn from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Slawomir Gotfryd during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Slawomir Gotfryd hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Witomir Praski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Roland Zbydniowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Palczewo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
