Tadeusz Pierz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Piczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mariampol SA booed when Skupowo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wawrzyniec Witwicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patryk Osielski, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bogdan Lepucki made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Klement Banan sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute of the match Tolek Raflewski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tadeusz Pierz skillfully saved the ball. When Klement Banan came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Skupowo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klement Banan couldn't finish the play. Artur Piczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ryszard Mlekodaj's late challenge caught a Skupowo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ryszard Mlekodaj helped the player get up and apologised. Ryszard Mlekodaj hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The supporters of Mariampol SA booed when Skupowo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Korneliusz Trojanowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zenon Drozdowski to make the kick off. Bogdan Lepucki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klement Banan in the 55th minute of play. Artur Piczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Zenon Drozdowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mariampol SA's supporters rose to their feet, but Zenon Drozdowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeusz Pierz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Skupowo's Tadeusz Pacholewski, in the 68th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Skupowo. After 73 played minutes Skupowo got a freekick which was hit by Korneliusz Trojanowski. Bogdan Lepucki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tadeusz Pacholewski went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Arkadiusz Pincoski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Tadeusz Pierz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bogdan Lepucki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Pacholewski in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeusz Pacholewski in the 88th minute of play forced Mariampol SA's goalkeeper Bogdan Lepucki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Skupowo's Wawrzyniec Witwicki got a free kick in the 91st minute. Tadeusz Pierz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zenon Drozdowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Skupowo support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
