The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Orzeł Kiwity was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roch Rasialdo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaroslaw Dziedelonis in the 5th minute of play forced Orzeł Kiwity's goalkeeper Bernard Dres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zula Walentowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 played minutes Korzeniste got a freekick which was hit by Bartosz Flis. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Orzeł Kiwity's Zula Walentowicz in the 17th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Igor Gmoch was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Korzeniste through an amazing save. With a little luck, Korzeniste's Igor Gmoch got control of the ball when Dariusz Chojnacki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Igor Gmoch made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Dariusz Chojnacki sent off a good shot on target. Igor Gmoch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zula Walentowicz in the 22nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Orzeł Kiwity's Waclaw Chodzinski got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Ksawery Bojanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernard Dres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaroslaw Dziedelonis in the 33rd minute of play. Ksawery Bojanowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Konrad Kapinos kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. If Zula Walentowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Igor Gmoch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dariusz Chojnacki in the 49th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaroslaw Dziedelonis was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Zula Walentowicz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orzeł Kiwity fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Korzeniste's Igor Gmoch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Chojnacki in the 63rd minute of play. Ksawery Bojanowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Igor Gmoch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zula Walentowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Bernard Dres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ksawery Bojanowski in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zula Walentowicz in the 75th minute of play forced Korzeniste's goalkeeper Igor Gmoch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 played minutes, Orzeł Kiwity's Waclaw Chodzinski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Igor Gmoch came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Orzeł Kiwity reached it. Igor Gmoch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zula Walentowicz in the 81st minute of the match. If Jaroslaw Dziedelonis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Bernard Dres successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Orzeł Kiwity fans cheered their team off the field, for while Korzeniste had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
