After 5 minutes, Olgierd Walkowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liverbird FCC and the Schnatow players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Liverbird FCC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olgierd Walkowski to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Liverbird FCC's Zbigniew Dulka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eugeniusz Piesciuk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute, one of Schnatow:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Schnatow. 13 minutes into the match, Zbigniew Dulka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugeniusz Piesciuk. Schnatow's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zbigniew Dulka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of Schnatow booed when Liverbird FCC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olgierd Walkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Schnatow's Eugeniusz Piesciuk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krzysztof Lech in the 19th minute of play. Janusz Lesiecki's late challenge caught a Schnatow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. It was beautiful to see Schnatow's Krzysztof Dec in action when he in the 28th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. In the 30th match minute, Schnatow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Izydor Duszenski to maneuver through the defense. If Krzysztof Lech had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zbigniew Dulka took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugeniusz Piesciuk. Eugeniusz Piesciuk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Krzysztof Lech sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Liverbird FCC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Schnatow's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liverbird FCC the free kick. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Schnatow's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Piesciuk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Schnatow's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Piesciuk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zbigniew Dulka. 78 minutes into the match, Krzysztof Lech dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eugeniusz Piesciuk, 0-5. 83 minutes into the game, Tytus Pieknik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eugeniusz Piesciuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krzysztof Lech in the 89th minute of the match. Eugeniusz Piesciuk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zbigniew Dulka in the 91st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Eugeniusz Piesciuk successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Zbigniew Dulka struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Eugeniusz Piesciuk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverbird FCC.
