The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Mühlhausen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Grotki SSA:s goal. Teobald Terasek was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Mühlhausen defense, Sylwester Borcz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrzej Trela. The Mühlhausen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrzej Trela should have stopped the shot. Izydor Olchowy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jacek Marchewka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Grotki SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Wasyl Jazwiec came free, but Jacek Marchewka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wasyl Jazwiec in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacek Marchewka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacek Marchewka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wasyl Jazwiec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jakub Brzeszczak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Andrzej Trela made a huge save. After 46 played minutes, Grotki SSA's Teobald Terasek shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andrzej Trela came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grotki SSA reached it. When Grotki SSA's Ignacy Milko in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mühlhausen's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 55 played minutes, Grotki SSA's Teobald Terasek shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andrzej Trela came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grotki SSA reached it. Andrzej Trela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacy Milko in the 57th minute of the match. Ignacy Milko struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Andrzej Trela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grotki SSA. Izydor Olchowy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wasyl Jazwiec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jacek Marchewka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mühlhausen's Andrzej Trela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylwester Borcz in the 66th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Wasyl Jazwiec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Grotki SSA's goalkeeper Jacek Marchewka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wasyl Jazwiec. In the 81stth minute of the game Izydor Olchowy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grotki SSA's Jacek Marchewka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Krzysztof Kochanowicz's late challenge caught a Mühlhausen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Krzysztof Kochanowicz helped the player get up and apologised. Krzysztof Kochanowicz hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 84 minutes, Mateusz Lukasik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grotki SSA and the Mühlhausen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th minute, Mateusz Lukasik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute Sylwester Borcz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrzej Trela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrzej Trela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sylwester Borcz, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
