The supporters of Athetics booed when Bucz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wlodzimierz Milko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Szczepan Kossakowski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jerzy Majewski. Bucz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dominik Pochorylo struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Olgierd Pacholewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bucz. In the 19th match minute, Athetics was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafal Gollob to maneuver through the defense. Dominik Pochorylo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Bucz's Wlodzimierz Milko collided with an opponent after 25 minutes. He was hit so badly that he fractured his arm. Przemyslaw Gomolka's late challenge caught a Bucz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Przemyslaw Gomolka helped the player get up and apologised. 27 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Bucz's Mieszko Galaska fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miromir Gabis in the 41st minute of play forced Bucz's goalkeeper Jerzy Majewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerzy Majewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wieslaw Czubski in the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafal Gollob in the 46th minute of play forced Bucz's goalkeeper Jerzy Majewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mieszko Galaska struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Olgierd Pacholewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bucz. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Wieslaw Czubski got free with Jerzy Majewski in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mieszko Galaska blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olgierd Pacholewski having to make a save. Athetics's Miromir Gabis got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 61 minutes, Wieslaw Czubski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Athetics's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wieslaw Czubski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miromir Gabis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 63rd minute. Athetics's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 66 minutes into the match, Mieszko Galaska had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olgierd Pacholewski. Athetics's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mieszko Galaska was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The audience was convinced that Mieszko Galaska's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olgierd Pacholewski was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Zbigniew Skrzypek kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Athetics's Miromir Gabis got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Miromir Gabis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wieslaw Czubski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jerzy Majewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Sylwester Skrzypek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bucz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Athetics the free kick. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bucz! After 95 played minutes Athetics got a freekick which was hit by Roman Pinczewski. When Mieszko Galaska came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Bucz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mieszko Galaska couldn't finish the play. Mieszko Galaska sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bucz's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
