The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Wardomy getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Igor Domala hit a great ball. Herbert Podolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucjan Miarka in the 6th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Wardomy's Lucjan Miarka dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walery Borucki got free with Herbert Podolski in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, PKS Obra Kościan 1912's Ignacy Kaczeniak got a free kick in the 10th minute. Herbert Podolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucjan Miarka in the 12th minute of the match. PKS Obra Kościan 1912's Herbert Podolski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save PKS Obra Kościan 1912 from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, PKS Obra Kościan 1912's goal looked a bit too open when Roch Ruzicki came free, but Herbert Podolski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulryk Bilicki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gai Leon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gai Leon in the 27th minute of play forced Wardomy's goalkeeper Ulryk Bilicki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Imbor hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Wardomy's Olaf Marud shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Herbert Podolski but with some difficulty. Ulryk Bilicki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damazy Gomolka in the 32nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damazy Gomolka in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulryk Bilicki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Damazy Gomolka put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ulryk Bilicki. PKS Obra Kościan 1912's Herbert Podolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walery Borucki in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Walery Borucki made a precise shot to the right of Herbert Podolski. PKS Obra Kościan 1912's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Gai Leon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucjan Miarka stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Gai Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damazy Gomolkas short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Ulryk Bilicki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ulryk Bilicki stood somewhat misplaced when Damazy Gomolka came free in front of goal and shot 3-2 to the left of him in the 61 minute. Damazy Gomolka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ulryk Bilicki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gai Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Wardomy's Ludomil Olejniczak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herbert Podolski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tytus Jajecznica hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. If Damazy Gomolka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute of the match Robert Imbor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulryk Bilicki showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Damazy Gomolka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damazy Gomolka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulryk Bilicki having to interfere. After having played for 91 minutes, Damazy Gomolka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PKS Obra Kościan 1912's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damazy Gomolka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th match minute, Wardomy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Dulka to maneuver through the defense. The Wardomy players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
