Karpaty Krosno's Alfred Golaszewski got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Wladyslaw Fleszar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karpaty Krosno fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wladyslaw Fleszar in the 22nd minute of play forced Stuposiany's goalkeeper Cezary Kluska to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfred Golaszewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Cezary Kluska tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wladyslaw Fleszar in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cezary Kluska prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cezary Kluska made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wladyslaw Fleszar in the 27th minute of play. Cezary Kluska didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wladyslaw Fleszar went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Wladyslaw Fleszar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cezary Kluska having to make a save. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stuposiany's goalkeeper Cezary Kluska, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Wladyslaw Fleszar made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Wladyslaw Fleszar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cezary Kluska was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Wladyslaw Fleszar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryszard Pietrowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cezary Kluska having to interfere. Karpaty Krosno's Ryszard Pietrowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wlodzimierz Rzeszutek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stuposiany's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iwan Kicia was slow to take the kick. During this time Karpaty Krosno's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Karpaty Krosno's Janusz Sanocki getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When Borys Marchefka fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stuposiany's protests and gave Borys Marchefka a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th match minute, Stuposiany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borys Marchefka to maneuver through the defense. Cezary Kluska acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Iwan Kicia. The crowd rose to their feet as Wladyslaw Fleszar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cezary Kluska. That made the score 0-5 in the 88 minute of play. When Wladyslaw Fleszar came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Karpaty Krosno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wladyslaw Fleszar couldn't finish the play. If Janusz Sanocki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karpaty Krosno's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
