Bjørn Brinkager didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Milosz Kicia went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kryspin Budarz in the 12th minute of play forced Boca Juniors Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Wiktor Iwanowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Szarmach charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stefan Szarmach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, Boca Juniors Buenos Aires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Szarmach to maneuver through the defense. Bjørn Brinkager made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ziemowit Bartochowski sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute Boguslaw Dula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiktor Iwanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boca Juniors Buenos Aires's Wiktor Iwanowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kryspin Budarz in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors Buenos Aires defense, Kryspin Budarz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wiktor Iwanowski. The Boca Juniors Buenos Aires fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wiktor Iwanowski should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kryspin Budarz to make the kick off. WKS Marcowe Minionki's Bjørn Brinkager played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milosz Kicia in the 52nd minute of play. Boguslaw Dula had several of the Boca Juniors Buenos Aires's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Wiktor Iwanowski as he didn't even see the shot coming. 74 minutes into the match, Kryspin Budarz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wiktor Iwanowski. Boca Juniors Buenos Aires's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kryspin Budarz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. Ziemowit Bartochowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Bjørn Brinkager tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boca Juniors Buenos Aires's Edip Aktaşoğlu was substituted for Ziemowit Bartochowski. Paulo José Maldini charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo José Maldini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 88 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Dula came free, but Wiktor Iwanowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Wiktor Iwanowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kryspin Budarz. In the 94th minute of the match WKS Marcowe Minionki got a corner. Boca Juniors Buenos Aires's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Konstantin Buranovski ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Boca Juniors Buenos Aires's goalie and right to Bartosz Miecznikowski. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Boca Juniors Buenos Aires's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
